Uncomfortable in myself, angry with my friends and family, I feel unlike I've ever felt before. I have felt every feeling, known every move. Some say I'm an old soul or that I'm before my time.. The thing is, no bearer of my heart and soul has ever died before.. I didn't realize that whenever David's time was up, that he would be taking that with him. I thought it was metaphorical not metaphysical. So, as I struggle to go about existing.... I am invited to join a webinar. "Some emotional support group", I thought.
But no, that's not what it was and I'm happy that I joined. SixSeconds is an emotional intelligence group that strives so that others may thrive. It's a group of people that are much like myself. They're there to spread the gift of light, they appreciate life, and they rise above themselves through the full experiencing of themselves. Emotional Intelligence is the knowing of how to listen to your emotional responses so that you can make productive changes to remain happy and healthy in your life.
I'm not going to finish this post because as linguistically endowed, intellectually and emotionally qualitative I may be, I've told you what had to say and with the following, you will know what I shared with them. From that, go wherever you want.. and do whatever to want.
"Before attending sixsecond's webinar, I considered myself emotionally above average. I could identify my feelings, handle social situations, and generally navigate life balances and without major meltdowns, But something felt missing. It was like I was driving alone, sitting in traffic with no other cars.
Then came the AWE webinar. It was like a jolt of fresh air, a vibrant collection of people with cutting-edge science, therapeutic experience, practical tools, and real-life stories that resonated deep within me. The concept of AWE - Attention, Wonder, and Expansion - struck a chord. It wasn't just about recognizing emotions; it was about cultivating a sense of awe for the world around us and within ourselves. This has always meant so much to me, but previously had no one with whom to share the understanding.
The presenters, seasoned experts in emotional intelligence, weren't just dispensing information; they were guides, inviting us on a journey of self-discovery. They shared their own vulnerabilities, creating a safe space for exploration and connection. Through interactive exercises and thought-provoking discussions, I began to see additional impacts of my emotional patterns on my relationships, my work, and my overall well-being.
Here's what truly set this program apart to me:
The focus on AWE: It wasn't just about managing emotions; it was about cultivating a sense of wonder and curiosity, to open myself up to new possibilities and deeper connections.
The science-backed approach: The program weaved together a personal touch of neuroscience and psychology, providing a solid yet welcoming foundation for the tools and techniques taught.
The practical tools: I wasn't left with just theory; I received concrete, actionable steps to integrate AWE into my daily life, from mindful exercise to capture and record AWEsome moments in my daily life - a simple but effective reframing technique.
The supportive community: The webinar fostered a sense of community, a safe space to share experiences, ask questions, and learn from each other, genuine people with compassion and understanding.
The impact of Sixseconds has been profound. I'm more present in my perceptual experience, more resilient in the face of my current challenges, and more open to the beauty and wonder that surrounds me. My emotional intelligence isn't the same anymore; it's a more vibrant, ever-evolving landscape, and I'm excited to continue exploring it with the tools and insights I gain from the life-changing experiences I'm afforded through their offering.
If you're looking to break free from emotional autopilot or feel crushed by tragedy in life and ready to embark on a journey of self-discovery, Sixseconds The Emotional Intelligence Network is your passport. It's not just an organization, it's not just some webinar; it's an invitation to awaken to the extraordinary potential within yourself and connect with the world in a whole new way.
Don't just take my word for it. Sign up for the AWE program and prepare to be AWE-struck in unexpected ways!

P.S.
And I stand by that! Because I literally had no one except David's family and I didn't need an emotional support group, I didn't need someone to listen to be grieve. In fact, I didn't need anything... I just joined and enjoyed.
